Therefore, student's opinion on coursework needs to be heard in order to create effective learning goals. I believe this will increase a student's motivation and connection to the material. Connections, which are endless and create concrete understanding for students. I am very passionate, easy going and understanding of students. A Little Bit About Me...

I possess both a MS and BS in electrical engineering. I received my BS degree from Rowan University in New Jersey and my MS from the University of Southern California. I have taken numerous classes in mathematics which include Single Variable Calculus, Multi-Variable Calculus, Differential Equations, Complex Variables, Real Analysis, Linear Algebra, Probability, and Random Processes. In addition, the focus of my graduate coursework was in the areas of signal processing and communications which use the theory from these math courses. After graduating from undergraduate school I worked for a year and a half as a substitute teacher for mostly upper division high school classes in the math and sciences.
When explaining concepts to students in classes that I sub-taught I felt the best approach was to talk to individual students and use a whiteboard to clearly explain the concepts. ... read more

I recently graduated from Rutgers University with a Bachelors in Science. My major was public health and I minored in biology and psychology. Throughout my college career, I have participated in many community service clubs and worked at a tutoring center where I helped college students with their weekly writing assignments. It was my responsibility to help them with their grammar, writing topics, and reading comprehension. I was able to help them grow into stronger and more creative writers.
I enjoy tutoring students and seeing them succeed. When they do well, it makes me feel like I have succeeded too. I believe teaching is very rewarding and it is important to take time and be cooperative with students in order to help them.

I don't just teach, I inspire and motivate. I try to help all of my students finish my classes with a high level of enthusiasm.
I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science in May 2005, from Richard Stockton College of New Jersey. I have excellent communications skills, and a very strong teaching /and/ Computer background. I have a remarkable ability to inspire and work with others. Many of my students are from different countries, and struggle with the English language. I presently teach Poker dealers. I do not let this hinder them, or me. I simply teach them enough English to increase their confidence to complete my class. In return, most will send their relatives to my class, because they found that I communicate well with others, no matter what their background.

When tutoring a student, my goal is to help the student come to the solution of a problem through already existing knowledge. I ask questions which help relate a difficult problem to one the student already knows how to solve, and I gently lead them in the direction of the answer without ever explicitly giving it to them myself.
I excelled as a mathematics major at The College of New Jersey, receiving numerous awards and induction into both Pi Mu Epsilon, the national honorary mathematics society, and Phi Beta Kappa, the most prestigious liberal arts honor society in the country. I have 4 years of experience tutoring students in mathematics at both the high school and college level.
