I have had nearly five years of experience in tutoring and mentoring. During college I was an English as a Second Language (ESL) tutor at two different non-profits. I currently am an Americorps member in the Downriver communities. In this position I teach ESL, GED prep, after-school tutoring, as well as a science program aimed at elementary students in River Rouge. I have a hands on teaching style that mixes fun activities with an emphasis on asking children questions. I pay attention to each individual student and try to figure out what their learning style is.
