A Little Bit About Me...

As a music student at metro, and a jazz/classical pianist with over 15 years of experience, I’ve had a lot of experience teaching students musical technique, especially in terms of modern music/jazz. I’ve been in many different types of bands, ranging from classical quartets to rock bands, and have received several awards, including awards for musicianship at the Greeley jazz festival. I also play the drums and guitar. I’m also double majoring in aviation technology at the Metropolitan state college of Denver.
My teaching style can easily fit individuals of all ages. I like to teach people how to learn music quickly, and I use a method that incorporates both learning how to play by ear, and reading music. I love, and am passionate about teaching children of all ages. I am a mother of three, and all of them have drastically different learning styles. I believe there are ways to teach that can encourage the child in their strenghts, and weaknesses and learn how to learn by emphasizing these strengths.
