My comments on tutoring Microsoft Office : I worked as an office manager for 5 years and have 10 years experience with Microsoft Office. I am proficient in Word, PowerPoint, Excel and experienced with Access.

I have taught 5th Grade Math and Science, 3rd Grade, 2nd Grade as an Interventionist, Kindergarten, and most recently Advanced Math and Language Arts / ESOL/CIVICS in and Adult GED/HiSet program. A Little Bit About Me...

After closing my small business I want to indulge my passion as an educator. Directly out of college I accepted a position as Math teacher at a private school, teaching different levels of mathematics to 7th & 8th grade students. The courses touched on the basic concepts in subjects such as; Algebra, Algebra II, Geometry, Trigonometry, Statistics and Intro to Calculus. I left academia to pursue a business career but I continued to work with kids. The method of teaching I prefer is maieutic, i.e., one which draws knowledge from the student, rather than attempts to place it in him/her from without. To me, the process of asking questions and allowing the student's curiosity and intelligence to reach conclusions is far more effective than one-sided lecturing.
