I have been a full-time classroom teacher at all grade levels for the last 12 years. I also have several years as a substitute teacher. I specialize in differentiating instruction for all learners. In addition, I can teach reading and writing skills using authentic sources and classroom subject matter so that students don't fall behind on content-learning at the expense of practice with unrelated materials.

My comments on tutoring Government : Our government is large and quite confusing. I'll teach you how to remember which branch does what and why.

I go with the styles that fit the student. I generally use the first couple of visits to assess what works best for the student and then work with the student in a calm and patient yet firm manner. I do not try to force results, every student learns differently and has different aptitudes. Therefore, it wiser not to push the student too hard for results, rather I push myself to find new and inventive ways to help students learn the material.

If I could say that there was something I was meant to be, I would say that I was meant to be a teacher. Of all the experiences in my life I have found the most satisfying right after being a father is being a teacher. Everyone including students want to feel successful.
