English is my second language. However lived in London for years where I had the chance to learn the language. Also studied medical english and used it as working as a nurse. Since the age of 15 i have tutored in Japan to Japanese people German or English and to foreigners Japanese on and off. My influence of teaching came from my mother who taught privately and who was the first Japanese teacher at American school in Singapore. The last 4 yrs i have been tutoring in Cape Coral /Ft Myers area to variety of students from young age to adult. I grew up in both languages German and Japanese i know the challenges each languages has.

My old next door neighbors have two children. One is a boy in elementary and one is a girl in middle school. I tutored the boy in reading and writing. He was able to read his first book on his own after a few weeks with me. I had to tutor the girl in math. she was taking algebra and was having a tough time with it. In two weeks of many meetings, she was able to pass her final exam. No matter what grade I was in, I always enjoyed going down to the ESE room and helping the special kids. I did what ever I could to help.
