I have 25 years experience in the civil engineering field, specifically the water resources area. I started substitute teaching at both the Lincoln Community High School and Hartem School District in 2009. I also started tutoring for Lincoln College in the Academic Success Center, last year. I tutor biology, chemistry, but especially math of all levels ... including statistics and geometry. I have been tutoring math from beginning basic math through advanced calculus and statistics at Lincoln College for the past 2 semesters. I feel that each child needs to feel appreciated and successful. My sessions include, of course, language, music, or speech, but I also work in philosophy, history, and technology. I feel that students of today are not receiving as much well rounded education as they desire, or need, for the future workplace or self-satisfaction. My students not only feel that they are learning a language or how to play and instrument, but that they are acquiring real world skills that will help them succeed in whatever field they choose.
