Experience Summary
As a seminary student, I gained a deeper respect for the education process and a greater passion for teaching students. During my time at what is now Lincoln Christian University, I gained a respect for the written word as well as a significant knowledge and usage of the English language. For the MA degree that I completed, I gained a working knowledge of grammar and research skills due to writing research papers and a final extensive thesis. Not only have I gained experience through study, but I have taught and, at times, tutored junior and senior high students in a classroom setting.
Teaching Style
The process of learning has always facinated me. I believe that all individuals regardless of age are able to learn something new everyday. I also understand that each individual learns in a different manner from the next. My teaching style is structured so that I try to help each student learn in the way that they are comfortable and are able to understand the material. I believe that if a teacher is able to make the subject matter fun and relevant to the student's life, then that student will be able to not only grow personally, but be able to change the world around him. It is important to me that the student be able to understand the material in order that he be able to make a difference in this world.
