I consider myself more of a facilitator than a dictator but I do expect my students to show initiative. My goal is for every student to succeed.
I have historically been a sketch artist. This talent led to me into graphic design for advertising. I later majored in advertising and worked several internships and practicums with a variety of ad agencies and publication, including Southern Living. Over half of my 24-year is comprised of creative management positions. Recently, I decided to get back into higher education to earn my Masters degree in graphic design.

A Little Bit About Me...

I love to teach whether its for fun or helping.
I am attending school for early childhood degree. Working with children and others have always been apart of me. Throughout school I am always helping and tutoring someone. Teaching someone something that I already know and something they should know or what to know makes me happy. I substitute before and volunteer my time a lot with daycare, Boys and Girls Club, after school programs, and even at church. I love to grab up my neighbor children to see how they are doing in school and if they need help with some work that they may have not gotten an understanding from their teacher or their parents do not understand.

Education is my life. From a very young age, I loved school and learning. It all started with my brother and his learning disability. I tutored him all throughout his academic career. In college I tutored elementary students through the CARE program. I then decided to be an English Education major and have been teaching ever since. Currently, I am finishing my graduate work at East Carolina University and working on the addition of TESL on to my teaching license. Education is the central focus of my everyday life. I have obtained a BS in Management-Health Care/HR and 5 Associate degrees in Business Administration, Administrative Office Technology, Medical Office Technology, Legal Secretary, and College Transfer. I have been homeschooling my son since 2006 and mentoring students through a local church for just as long. In addition, I tutored in 1990-1991 and 1994-1997 while in college to earn extra money.
