I graduated from Morehead State University with a BS in Chemistry and a Geology minor in 1996. I used this degree to obtain work in my field, and outside of my field for the past 14 years. I have strong, hands-on experience with Chemistry principles and have experienced them on a daily basis for over 5 years. I also have experience working in a customer support role and have been responsible for helping people of all ages and backgrounds solve problems in a quick, and effective manor. In all, I feel I have learned how to help all different types of people solve problems in an effective and respectful way. Patience and listening are the two most valuable parts of my teaching style. No one learns well in a hostile or rushed environment. As an undergraduate I tutored in the help center of WVSU. My last semester I had to choose between Biology and Chemistry, due to a schedule conflict, and I chose Chemistry. After graduating, I worked toward my PhD at Montana State University for two years. I worked my way through teaching labs, and completed 19 credit hours, before I had to move home for family reasons. I also worked in the help center during the day and held weekly study groups in the evenings. I believe that there are no boring subjects, only boring teachers. I teach so others may learn to find interest. My heart races when I help someone learn. We are always learning, and I will always be a student. I am able to relate to people on that level, regardless of subject level. No one is born knowing this stuff, we learn through life. To teach is to learn. It must be nice to teach to teach. This is my goal.

I find my utmost happiness in turning on the common "light-bulb" on top of my students' heads. Their understanding of the subject is my key objective. I finished my phD from Boulder (Colorado) and worked for Kuwait University, Kuwait EPA, and ITT technical college for the last ten years. As a teacher for ITT college and Kuwait University, I would bring ten years of experience as an Engineer teacher.
