Journalism is one of my top subjects! Having served as both a contributing author and editor of UNG's online newspaper publications, my passion for journalism is strong. Under the tutelage of Ron Martz, a 30+ years veteran of the Atlanta Journal Constitution, I developed a myriad of writing, editing, and interviewing skills.
First and foremost, I am passionate about helping children and youth learn, overcome obstacles, and believe in themselves, whether that be academically or otherwise. Over the years, I have learned and had the opportunity to work with and encourage children and teenagers with various behavioral issues, ranging from Aspergers Syndyrome to anxiety and anger issues,so I have a great deal of patience with students whom others consider difficult to work with. Having graduated from the University of North Georgia with a degree in Writing & Publication and a Minor in Mass Communications, I'm confident that the skills I've acquired would serve me well as an effective tutor.
