Leadership and learning are indispensable to each other.

I don't use a lesson plan or guided lessons, I let the kids lead. They usually know what they need help on and if they can figure out what they are having problems with, then everything usually starts making sense. I usually keep my laptop with me, I refer to it if there is something I can't answer or figure out how to start drawing. I don't rely on it, but usually use it as a reference tool.
I've never actually tutored someone, but I am very good at relating with younger kids and High Schoolers. I was in band from 8th grade to 12th grade where I participated in the Front Ensemble section with keyboards, vibraphones, marimbas, xylophones and various other instruments. I have 17 years in the classroom and 5 years of education to attain this. I still make myself available to help any student who needs it even though I have left the classroom. I have also substituted for 3 years at all grade levels. I have had to write many papers during my educational experience. My students had to write essays as part of their testing and do extensive research to write papers to enhance their experience in the classroom.
All students learn at different levels. I like to incorporate all the learning styles of students. Some learn by hands-on, others by listening, and some by writing. These are all used by me. Each student has their own learning style and a teacher has to help each find what works for each student and then incorporate this to meet the needs for that particular student.
