A Little Bit About Me...

My tutoring style is somewhat laid-back with serious undertones. I feel the best way to learn is to not have information force fed, but to allow the individual to glean knowledge and come to an understanding of the subject gradually. While I am serious about learning and education, I also consider my sense of humor my strongest personality trait. I believe being able to interject humor into learning is often times crucial to the learning experience, as long as it comes second to actual learning.
I have a Bachelor's in Computer Science with focus on the Microsoft languages (C++, C#, ASP, dotNEt, etc.) The requirements for this degree was heavy in math. I love tutoring and mentoring kids, period. It's spiriturally rewarding to me as an adult to have a part in a child's development. I believe every child is special. There's is no doubt in my mind that if a tutor approach is based on patience, quality time and empathy, he or she will be successful and effective. I am a patient, understanding, and considerate person. I love the sight of a child learning something after a person takes the time to show the steps. At the moment, I am unemployed throughout the week so i can meet with a child/children whenever they need me. I also can help a child through their personal problems because it is not always that a child does not understand the information; sometimes they have other things affecting their lives. I want to be able to make a difference in a child life forever.
I have earned a BS in Physical Education. My major was Athletic Training, which has prepared me to gain extensive knowledge in Biology and Anatomy & Phys.
