I have 25 years experience in the civil engineering field, specifically the water resources area. I started substitute teaching at both the Lincoln Community High School and Hartem School District in 2009. I also started tutoring for Lincoln College in the Academic Success Center, last year. I have really enjoyed teaching through coaching. Throughout my coaching career, I have worked with all different types of athletes who each learn things a little bit differently. Because of this, I have been able to practice presenting information in lots of different ways in order to get all types of learners to understand the material. I have worked in ICC's mathlab since fall 2008, tutoring all kinds of math ranging from elementary Algebra and Geometry to Calculus, though I do not do statistics. I can also tutor Discrete Math, a subject about logic, math puzzles, algorithms and computational concepts.
