As an education major at Berea College, I volunteered my services as a tutor three nights a week in addition to my student teaching and education courses. My last semester I had to choose between Biology and Chemistry, due to a schedule conflict, and I chose Chemistry. After graduating, I worked toward my PhD at Montana State University for two years.
