Beginning 1993 I engaged adult students in an adult ed ESL evening program. Since then I have taught teens and children but by far the opportunity to teach corporate adults from China was my most unique and rewarding experience. I have taught tap dance since 1998 in dance studio classes as well as recreation centers offering tap to children and adults. I have always liked working with children, and I have found that it is necessary to tailor different approaches to different children. It is also necessary to have more than one approach or technique, because many kids have different learning styles. Some are visual learners, while others are more physical learners( learn by doing, get up and demonstrate the concept).
