Experience Summary
I graduated from the University of California, Irvine with a bachelors in Sociology and several courses in Early Childhood Education/Development. My major required extensive writing and research projects, so I am very experienced with the writing process. I have almost three years experience in a licensed day care at an elementary school where I was in charge of creating and implemented lesson plans, so I am used to using creative approaches to learning. I was also in charge of :homework club" where my main duty was to assist with homework and help students get past their mental blocks with multiple approaches. I also received a passing score on the CBEST.
Teaching Style
I have always liked working with children, and I have found that it is necessary to tailor different approaches to different children. It is also necessary to have more than one approach or technique, because many kids have different learning styles. Some are visual learners, while others are more physical learners( learn by doing, get up and demonstrate the concept). I am a very patient and enthusiastic person with a love for kids and learning and don't like to give up on any child.
