I have been a special education teacher for 12 years. I recently received my Master of Arts in reading instruction degree. I have had a lot of success teaching students how to read. An example of this is: I started working, for 600 hrs (pull-out and push-in) a week, with a 2nd grade student at the end of January 2007. When I began working with him, he could only read 13 words.
