Once being tutor in college, now here, for you.

I prefer teaching by examples and practices. While encountering a complicated problems I always break it into small problems and solve them from the most basic one all the way to the most complex one. I believe the important part is not how to solved the problem, but how you know what to do to solve it.
I studied computer science in University of Central Oklahoma (UCO) and got my bachelor's degree in 2012. Now I am studying in UCO as a graduate student. I have great experience in tutoring. I worked as tutor in UCO Computer Science Department from August 2011 to December 2014. I answered all questions raised by students in computer lab, from freshman to senior. I have knowledge about programming, algorithms, computer science theories, and so on. Since I have good knowledge, experience and communication skills, I was one of the most welcomed tutors in the lab while I worked there.

My comments on tutoring Computer Programming : I taught Computer Science at the University of Oklahoma for 10 years while completing my doctorate. I have received a B.S. and M.S. in Computer Science from the University of Nice-Sophia Antipolis in France. I also studied towards a M.S. and Ph.D. in Computer Science at the University of Oklahoma. I taught many subject ranging from programming to advanced databases to algorithm analysis. I also have worked in industry for 5 years as a software engineer for companies such as American Airlines and PentaSafe Security Systems.

I like interacting with students and help them overcome their difficulties. I first need to find out where the student stands. It is important to have a solid foundation to build upon. I like to review the basic material with students to make sure they stand on such a foundation I like to teach a concept and follow immediately with exercises with the student. I believe programming is best assimilated through hands on practice. I also believe that many students need to see the same material multiple times before they have a complete understanding. For this reason I like to review past material periodically. I also believe that the pace needs to be set by the student and not by me. My students at OU loved me and I stayed in touch with many of them. I hope you will be the next one.

A Little Bit About Me...

I have a bachelor's degree in acturial science and have studied extensively for acturarial exams. My studies have enabled me to master both higher- and lower-level mathematics and statistics. My background in paid tutoring includes College Algebra, Elementary statistics and statistical methods, but I've also helped classmates understand physics and chemistry classes. These classes came easy to me, and I feel I am a natural fit for tutoring these subjects as well. I don't have any experience teaching in a classroom, yet, but as of Aug. 18 I will begin teaching business statistics at Oklahoma State University part-time, while I work on my master's in statistics.
I love teaching and am comfortable teaching students of all ages. I've learned from tutoring that each student learns in a different way. The great thing about one-on-one or small groups is that the teaching style ... read more

More About This Tutor...

My teaching style is in form of participation. I like my students to be part of the lessons. I believe teaching (or education) is not a one person show. The best way for to students to learn is by making them participate. It is not just a matter of giving lectures and tests. It is a matter of involving them also in the lectures.

I graduated first of my class with a perfect GPA, summa cum laude. As a member of the honors program, I had to do a lot of researches and presentations at public events.
