A Little Bit About Me...

I am kind of new to teaching. I have taught my little brother everything he knows, and I've been told I have a really good way of teaching. Younger students catch on very quickly to what it is I am teaching. If they don't catch on quick, then no problem. I'm very patient and never give up until a student understands the concept. I am very easy to get along with, so the student will have no problems with me. I graduated with a degree in English while devoting time teaching kids and even adults martial arts. Also, I have tutored many of my younger cousins during their elementary school years and currently middle school as well. I have published two poetry books and am planning on writing a third book. I have a tremendous amount of love and passion for reaching out to others. I believe we will always be students, after all, we continue to learn each day. I grew up building computers, designing web pages, capable of typing over 100 words a minute, repairing computers and so forth. I am an empathetic listener with a penchant for learning. A successful tutor needs to be an effective listener, one who is capable of figuring out the solution from the student's perspective, using terms and words that the student can relate to, making deceptively difficult concepts not so difficult to understand.
