Elementary Reading is one of my top subjects! Lessons include reading comprehension skills such as determining main idea, making inferences, understanding causes and effects, etc. I also teach students to use reading strategies like visualizing, making connections, and questioning.

I have been teaching in a public school in the Sugar Land area for 27 years. For the past 10 years, I have taught both regular education and GT students in the English Language Arts block. Many of my former students were waived ESL intermediate students whose grasp of reading and writing grew within the time spent in my class. The students that I tutor have always shown tremendous growth in ability and confidence. I have privately tutored several students from grades 1 through 5 with much success.
