In my 40+ years of experience in the field of education, I have taught full time at all grade levels, from pre-school to teacher training. In the field of adult education have taught writing to Chinese-speaking adults, which enabed them to pass the California teacher exam. I have taught remedial reading classes, and after-school tutoring programs at education centers and in individual homes.
My teaching style centers around the value of the students. They deserve respect and are required to give respect. My students are generlly relaxed in my classroom, but expected to work to their best ability. A Little Bit About Me...

I believe that an open dialogue is a teacher's most needed resource. Any child needs to feel as though he or she can express concerns or apprehensions without the fear of feeling embarrassed or stupid. I truly believe that there is no such thing as a stupid question. Teaching should, of course, relay necessary information, but it should also foster a student's drive to succeed, as well as the knowledge that any goal can be reached through perserverance. I enjoy helping students of all ages, and I look forward to what my students will inevitably teach me.
