My comments on tutoring Elementary Math : I have a proven track record as a teacher of student growth measurement of 1 year and 1 month.

I have been working with the school system for several years. I am currently teaching a fourth/fifth grade split. I am very experienced in working with children who are at risk, special needs, and add/adhd. I have a proven track record of student growth in core subjects of 1 year 3 months. I am still a student in high school. I am a junior and take all senior classes. My favorite subject is math. I work really good with younger children and take my time to help them learn what they struggle in. When I was younger I had never wanted to get help for math and I took it upon myself to learn it and now its my strongest subject.

My comments on tutoring Elementary Math : Kindergarten-3rd

Elementary Math is one of my top subjects! I have taught elementary grades for over 15 years.

My teaching style is to engage the student as much as possible and to utilize as many senses as possible. I will often use a "game" to practice a skill. When teaching a skill, my emphasis is understanding "why" something is done a particular way rather than stressing straight memorization.
I have taught "students" from age 3 to age 73. Most of my experience has been in elementary classroom situations, but I have tutored individual students, taught computer skills to business classes and senior citizens, as well as business technology classes in a community college.
