I received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English with a minor in Physical Science from California State University, Fresno. I received my first teaching experience as a substitute teacher. I next worked as a long-term substitute teacher for a year. I was then offered a full-time, permanent teaching position as a fourth grade elementary school teacher. This position lasted three years.
