When I was working as an ESL teacher in Brazil, each school used to have their own material. We used to participate in trainings to get familiar with the material and then start teaching. I developed my "own" style at teaching ESL in which I was very focused on the oral part. I tried to develop conversational classes to my students. Besides that I was teaching grammar and other skills like : listening, reading and writing in English.
My education is from Brazil. I have graduated from LETRAS, TRADUTOR/INTERPRETE at the Universidade Ibero Americana in Sao Paulo. Since 1991 I have been teaching ESL for Brazilian students. As an undergraduate student, I developed my love for learning. While I have pursued other interests since graduation, my studies allowed me to hone my abilities to communicate both in written form as well as through speaking and personal interaction. In 2006, I left for Buenos Aires, Argentina to study Spanish and returned to the U.S. 18 months later with D.E.L.E. certification and full fluency.
