I have always wanted students to really know the material being covered. This has meant keeping their interest through jovial yet concentrated lesson planning. My first career was as a Registered Professional Nurse (NYS licensure) for 25 years. During those years, I kept up my interest in various fields of math, such as Abstract Algebra, Differential equations, and topology. I was especially interested in algebraically-capable computer math programs. The summer after my 8th grade year was my first experience teaching. It was there that I facilitated the younger children's use of the computer facilities during a summer reading program. After that I tutored Math, Earth Science, Physics, and Philosophy to other undergrads at my college's Learning Center.
