I have been mentoring/tutoring students for the pass fifteen years in school,church or community environment. I have been choosen to work with the most difficult students. My expectations are high but has proven to have a high success rate. I have earned a BS in Human Services/Management and I am currently working on my Masters in Preschool Education. I have mentored students in Pre-K-6th grade. Also work on everyday life skills.
I believe that a good quiet environment with one on one help can open the door for every student to be successful. Failure is never an option for any child provided that he or she has the right access in the learning environment. I will start with the student whereever they are academically and get them to where they need to be. Reassuring and encouraging the students as we both achieve our goals.

A Little Bit About Me...

I love teaching and learning. I grew up going to Montessori schools and truly believe that everyone is capable of learning its just finding the right way to teach that person--not all students can be boxed into a simple blanket method of teaching. I have found this to be true thru the collegiate levels. As a teaching assistant in college, I had to go thru extensive training to learn how best to teach each type of learner. I was employed by the Interior Design department at FSU to teach undergraduate courses, being an instructor of record for the inital course for the department, Design Fundamentals. I have a passion for teaching and learning- it runs in the family as my husband is a middle school science and math teacher. Our parents are lifelong edcuators in Wakulla County. Now that I have earned my Master's degree I would like to continue that family tradition.
I believe that while students may forget specifics of what they are learning, they will never forget how teachers make them feel.
