I have been involved with the field of performing arts for over 15 years. Itrained with the former head of Vocal Performance at Florida State prior to competing in the Miss Florida Pageant. I also trained in ballet and gymnastics at The Ron Gallimore Olympic trainign Center. My back ground in the fields of dance and vocal performance have led to many exciting opportunities. I am an accomplished songwriter who has copy written works registerd with the US patent office. I have also been featured in Calenders for Hooters, television commercials for Union Bay Clothing,Televised half-time promotions for The Miami Dolphins, Sea World and many more. I have composed and recorded original music with an all female rock band in Seattle, Wa. I have been featured on stage at the Erikson Theater in Seattle for my dance and acting abilities.

A Little Bit About Me...

My teaching style really depends on the person I am working with. People learn different ways. It is important to identify what works best for the person. For example, some people may learn through discussion, while others may need to see pictures or presentations of the subject matter. I like to identify how the person learns first through questions, or by testing them with a simple task first to identify the method which seems to work best for them. Once this has been identified, training can begin.
I have both a bachelors degree and masters degree in business administration/management. Both of these degrees have given me a high level of knowledge in many areas such as finance, accounting, math in general, writing, and presentations/projects. I believe that while students may forget specifics of what they are learning, they will never forget how teachers make them feel. I also belive that the best teachers are the ones that make themselves less needed the longer they teach specific studdents. I want to empower the students I teach to be able to learn and excell on their own in the future. As a graduate of a private college, I have always been driven to perform at the top of my game. I have received two Bachelors degrees in both English literature and theater. Early in my collegiate career I gained a position as a teaching assistant (TA) and taught a required first year course for 3 out of my 4 years of college. In this position, I noticed that a lot of writing skills were missing from first year students that I felt that they should hav possessed and created and implemented a collegiate level writing and researching workshop that the college still uses. In addition to my TA position, I tutored nursing students in anatomy and physiology and biology classes.
