My comments on tutoring Typing Skills : As a high school student many years ago I elected to follow a typing course which proved to be of unexpectedly great value throughout many of my professional associations. In these modern times expert typing has become essential due to technological advances. I feel quite qualified to offer instruction so as to provide students with this extremely important mode of communication. I type accurately at a quite satisfactory rate.

For the greater part of my life I have been involved in various facets of education. I have acted as substitute teacher at the middle and high school levels for a total of 10 years, 8 of which were spent at 12 schools in Vermont and 2 at 10 schools in Hernando County FL. I held the position of Senior ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) with a highly reputed language school in Vienna, Austria for a period of 2 years and have offered ESOL instruction as a volunteer teacher at the Tarpon Springs campus of St. Petersburg College and with the Hernando County branches of H.E.A.R.T. and R.S.V.P. My comments on tutoring Typing Skills : I type over 55 WPM.

I obtained a B.S. in Biology, with a concentration in aquatic science, from Wittenberg University in 2006. During my undergraduate studies, I tutored elementary students in math and science twice a week for two years. After college, I moved into the marine science profession. In August of 2008, I started teaching High School Biology I, Earth and Space Science, and Physical Science to students in Polk County. In addition, after school hours were spent with two students taking AP Biology classes. Both students achieved a 4 or higher on their placement exams.
