My teaching philosophy is one that is formed based on my drive to inspire and my belief in academic excellence. I am inspired to be one of those teachers that students look back on and remember as someone who has helped them achieve their goals. To me, significant teaching accomplishments come through the achievements of the students. As an educator it is important for me to teach my students how to balance the busy schedule of someone working in the business world, with their desire for education. As an online graduate at Kaplan University, I quickly became aware of my priorities. Students seeking help often emailed other classmates for assistance. I was often told there were very few students who responded to their emails; however, I was one of them. I earned my Associate degree through Allegany College of Maryland. I enjoyed this area of study so much that I decided to transfer to Kaplan University Online and continue my study in Business Administration with concentration in Accounting. I attended graduation in Chicago, IL, where I learned no matter what obstacles in life you face you can continue your education if your mind is set to do it.
