As a college student I am still striving for my goal and dream of becoming a veterinarian. I have always been a mentor in my community and willing to help others where they need help. My favorite subjects throughout grade school include math and science, in which I have excelled in both by being placed in honor level classes throughout high school. I start by asking the students to tell me exactly what is it that they not understand and start from there. I then like to work backwards from that point to find where they got lost. I also use everyday concepts to give similiar scenarios to get them on the right track. I find pleasure in seeing their faces light up once they come to understand the subject matter. I enjoy teaching and working in the clinical practice performing laboratory tests and analyzing the results. I am enthralled with structures and functions of organisms and continuously intrigued with revelations of newly discovered mechanisms. That's the beautiful thing about math there are so many ways to learn. After understanding the person it is very easy to teach them. Once the person is comfortable and understand that math isn't hard it is smooth sailing from there. I started tutoring when I was in high school. I have always been good in math. Then, I taught Finite Math, Elementary Algebra, and Intermediate Algebra courses at Faulkner University and at Auburn University Montgomery as an adjunct instructor.
