A Little Bit About Me...

I graduated from my Master´s at West Virginia University in May 2010. Spanish Literature is my main area of concentration and Linguistics is my second area of concentration. I am a native speaker of Spanish but I am also fluent in German, English and French. I graduated in May 2008 with my bachelor’s degree in Translation and Interpreting at Universidad de Valladolid, Spain. During this period, I studied abroad for four semesters in France and Germany, and also worked as an English instructor.
My philosophy of teaching has been built upon my personal experience as a student, upon my theoretical education in Second Language Teaching Methodology class, and most importantly upon my teaching experience. A Little Bit About Me...

I find that students benefit greatly by becoming active participants in the teaching process. I try to develop a curriculum that students help determine, and create lessons that center around topics that interest the students and apply to their lives in a real and practical manner. I try to begin a dialogue with students whenever possible, but also try to know when students would benefit more from direct instruction from their teacher.
I am very passionate about teaching and instructing young people. A Little Bit About Me...

I believe that I have the perfect combination of patience and teaching style to allow any child to learn Spanish, in any form (speaking, writing, reading, etc.). I have tutored students in writing and sociology and have felt a great sense of accomplishment and fulfillment when I see my students succeed.
When I graduated from Mount Union College in Alliance, OH, my professors left me with the knowledge and the drive to succeed in all future endeavors.
