A Little Bit About Me...

I am very passionate about teaching and instructing young people. That is why I have spent time volunteering to teach English to children in Mexico, working as a counselor at youth camps for several years, and establishing a school outreach program for local art galleries. My desire to teach people about the arts also drove me to achieve a BA in Art Education. My education has given me the skills I need to tutor, instruct, and inspire students of all ages and circumstances.

I graduated from my Master´s at West Virginia University in May 2010. Spanish Literature is my main area of concentration and Linguistics is my second area of concentration. I am a native speaker of Spanish but I am also fluent in German, English and French. I graduated in May 2008 with my bachelor’s degree in Translation and Interpreting at Universidad de Valladolid, Spain. During this period, I studied abroad for four semesters in France and Germany, and also worked as an English instructor.

When I graduated from Mount Union College in Alliance, OH, my professors left me with the knowledge and the drive to succeed in all future endeavors. My goal as a tutor is to help my students acquire that same drive, not only by showing them the tools necessary to succeed, but by helping them understand how to use those tools in the real world.
