I tend to work well with individuals and small groups, independent of their age - I have worked with everyone from elementary school and below up to adult learners on a factory floor. My main goal is to teach by finding out what the pupil already knows and relating the subject matter to them through the already established knowledge base. Combining this this direct experience with analogy tends to bring what sometimes starts as an incomprehensible subject into the realm of what they already know and have a feel for, making them more comfortable with the subject and better able to grasp the concepts. I used my G.I bill Benefits to attend the University of Connecticut, where I received my Bachelors in History with a minor in Political Science. I stayed at the UConn to complete my Masters in Education where I complete 15 weeks of student teaching. Most recently I have worked as a substitute teacher at both the middle and high school level.
