I was originally born in Lebanon and arrived in the United States a decade ago. My first language is Arabic, second is English, and third is French. I still carry with me aspects of my Middle Eastern culture which is highly associated with learning the Arabic language. Living in a diverse and multi-lingual nation, I quickly grasped the French language as a child while attending to a French Catholic school while also speaking it as a second language with friend, family, etc... I obtained a bachelor of science in Civil Engineering, with a concentration in Structural Analysis. The course work gave me a very strong understanding of Mathematics, and Physics. Also, the quantity of lab reports I have written has given me an advantage in writing non-technical reports along with technical reports. I have worked as a college math privately and through other companies.
My teaching style is very simple and I believe it is effective. I have found that going through problems does not always help kids learn. I always try to tutor the basics and establish a plan for problem solving. The children need to know how to attach a problem not how to plug numbers into equations.
