I have taught Kindergarten, 2nd Grade, 3rd Grade, and 5th Grade. I am certified K-6th grade. I also taught advanced and Intermediate math and language arts in a GED/HiSet program. As a special education teacher, I believe learning should be fun and exciting. I teach students based upon their individual needs and learning styles. I love learning and I try my best to pass that love of learning to my children and my students. Using centers in the class room, is a great way to make learning fun. Centers allow students to be actively engaged by presenting the subject material using a hands-on approach while allowing them to move about the room. I enjoy working with children, however, I don't feel I have one teaching style. I like to be able to adapt to how the children learn the best. My favorite teaching style is hands on activities such as experiments and crafts. I take pride in my creativity. I have earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Miami University in history. I currently am enrolled at University of Tennessee at Chattanooga to obtain a Masters Degree in Education with a license to teach in the state of Tennessee in the middle grades. I have worked as a nanny during undergraduate for a couple different families. I have also worked through the YMCA as an after school teacher where I helped students K-6 with their homework.
