I love teaching and seeing students understand.

I prefer one-on-one and I teach phonics approach to reading.

I taught GED for Garrard County for 10 years.I have always enjoyed working with students who do not understand their subjects, especially in Math. My name is Andrea Richards. I have been teaching in the elementary school for 27 years. I have been a certified Reading Interventionist since 2005. At that time I was trained in Reading Recovery. My discontinuation rate averages over 80%. I was also trained at The Ohio State University in how to implement Leveled Literacy Intervention developed by Fountas and Pinnell. I feel each child is unique, so their learning style is unique. I especially enjoy using the explorative method of teaching where the child is encourage to explore, examine, and discover with my assistance.
