Throughout my educational experience I have been committed to academic excellence. I recently graduated summa cum laude with a BA in English. My studies gave me a versatile set of writing, research, and critical-thinking skills applicable to many areas of study within the Humanities. In the past I have had 3 years of Russian, 1 in Hebrew, as well as good deal of study in beginning level Latin. I received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English with a minor in Physical Science from California State University, Fresno. I received my first teaching experience as a substitute teacher. I next worked as a long-term substitute teacher for a year. I was then offered a full-time, permanent teaching position as a fourth grade elementary school teacher. This position lasted three years. I will never forget the joy I received each time one of my students learned something that they had been struggling with for some time.
