A Little Bit About Me...

I feel that I can relate to children because I am also a child at heart. I believe in constant verbal quizzing and repitition as a means to develop the child's ability to retain knowledge and call it forth at will. I have learned from past work experiences that all people learn differently be it either visual, kinetic (hands-on), or verbal (by listening). By learning the child's learning type you can tell which method appeals to them and can create a learning environment to encourage their growth at a faster rate. I also have a history in the theatrical arts and vocal music performance which can assist in grasping the child's attention during those times of relaxed focus. Any opportunity to help someone else is one I enjoy participating in. As I mentioned, I am going into nursing and wish to work in pediatrics. I have been tutoring children/adolescents for years and can truly say that it has been a rewarding experience. Relating or connecting with a student have never been an issue with me.
