By sparking curiosity, asking questions, allowing time to think and investigate for answers, and pointing out clues that will hopefully lead the students to discovering answers, I hope to mentor my students like a creative safari tour guide. I am an old school educator; my students learn the whys behind the hows. I absolutely love knowledge and plan to continue my education for as long as I can. I am currently working on a PhD in Fiction Writing at UNL, but I nearly have a BA in History, and would like to turn that into a Masters as soon as I can. I enjoy working with students of all ages. I strive to encourage students to develop a love for learning and the ability to learn independently. Each person has a different learning style so I like to allow students to take an active role in designing the method in which they will best learn the material.
