I tend to employ a quiet but direct approach to learning. Q and A sessions begin each session. We review the homework and past experiences of the student. I encourage students to write down their concerns and mark the areas of confusion at the time these arise. That way the students don't forget to bring them to my attention. I like to break down large projects into smaller components. The success of the student is the primary goal. A feeling of accomplishment is a close second. I back step and reteach as necessary. I love teaching and working with children of all ages. As an undergraduate, I participated in a Writing Fellowship, which allowed me to meet with students to work on their writing. Through this individualized tutoring style, I developed an appreciation for working one-on-one with students and peers, and began to develop a highly personal, creative style of tutoring.
