I have a love for learning and teaching!

I have been teaching special education for six years. I taught special education to kindergarten through third grade in a Montessori school for four years. I have experience in teaching students with disabilities in reading, writing, and math. Many of my students have also been diagnosed with ADHD/ADD, autism, learning disabilities, and emotional impairments. I am currently teaching my second year at a center-based school for autism. In my teaching career, I have used a variety of hands-on material and visuals. I am also a native German speaker. I recently have spent the last six months in the Head Start Program as a center teacher. We prepare them for kindergarten. I have taught all grade levels. I currently have a BA with a concentration in K-8 education. Due to online classes, I have written hundreds of research and essay papers using APA style although I have helped my son use MLA which I can write in effectively.

I graduated from MSU in 2001 with a degree in Int'l Relations and Business. In 2007 I returned to school. A Little Bit About Me...

My college courses taught me to be a good researcher, thus enabling me to write criticaleducational information. This spilled over into the the classroom that I used in researching the most effective techniques in which students learn. I truly believe that all students can learn given the correct instruction and appropriate curriculum materials.
