Musical is one of my top subjects! I have been involved with learning and playing music for 25 years and have several years of theory training. I understand how music is put together and would love to share my knowledge with you.

I started playing music in 5th grade with the clarinet and school band. I graduated 1st chair in high school band and was playing the guitar in jazz band. I've been playing the guitar for the last 20 years and played in my far share of bands. I graduated from the Madison Media Institute in 1998 with a diploma in sound engineering. I have for children and spent several years when they were young home schooling them.
Your music your way. I enjoy and am familiar with many styles of music and would like to help you follow your passion. It's hard work to learn, but music should also be enjoyable and I aim to keep it that way.

A Little Bit About Me...

I love teaching and working with all children. Every child is different in their personalities. I am patient, easy going and considerate. My goal is to provide the best education possible. In addition to my music skills, I also have studied accounting at the local community college, and earned an accounting certificate. I would very much enjoy helping tutor students who need nelp with accounting skills. I can make a difference in student's learning.
I have served as an instrumental music educator under contract for three years; I have been a substitute teacher in public schools for fifteen years. I have taught all grade levels. I have learned extensive grammatical skills due to writing research papers as a graduate student. I have tutuored many students primarily on musical instruments.

A Little Bit About Me...

Since graduating from Northern Illinois University, I have had several experiences teaching children at the elementary and middle school age. I was a nanny for a family of three for a year right after graduating. It was a wonderful experience and gave me the opportunity to create my own lessons and activities for the children. The following year I was a substitute teacher in Wisconsin for various grade levels and loved each experience. I am looking forward to beginning to substitute teach again this December in the DeKalb area.
