I am a strong believer in teaching through examples and letting students try to apply the knowledge I have taught them at various smaller stages, then apply it to the bigger picture. I love working with kids, and I think that with patience, understanding, and time, all students are capable of reaching their potential.
As an undergraduate, I attended Purdue University and worked as a teaching assistant where I ran my own lab, instructing students for one of their core management courses. In my junior year, I was asked to apply to an invitation-only program for an an accelerated MBA program only for exceptional students. I am now entering my final year of this program and will graduate in 2011 with a BS in Business Management and a Masters degree in Business Administration. The graduate program is team focused and emphasizes working with and teaching diverse groups of people.

A Little Bit About Me...

I have extensive preparation and training that will allow me to succeed as an English tutor. I am a licensed substitute teacher in the state of Indiana. I have been actively teaching with Noblesville Schools (Noblesville, IN) since October of 2006. I have gained additional teaching experience as a Bible study teacher of two years. As such I lecture for about an hour and a half most Sunday afternoons. Additionally, I spent three years as a shift manager in food service where I was responsible for training new employees. I always received positive feedback from my trainees. I have specific expertise in the area of English and language arts. My undergraduate degree is in journalism but I also took and excelled at courses in composition, creative writing, and writing for broadcast.
