A Little Bit About Me...

I am a graduate student transitioning from physics to astrophysics, my goal being a PhD in Astrophysics. My undergraduate degree is a BS in Physics with a minor in astronomy. Because of the nature of physics, I have been exposed to many types of science and mathematics. I am also experienced with professional writing as required for producing lab reports and research papers, some of which were followed by presentation talks. Most recently I have been working as a physics instructor for The Princeton Review.
My philosophy of teaching is to train the student to think like a scientist and/or mathematician. It is not just about getting the right answer but rather understanding the fundamental principals of a subject. This enables the student to try previously unseen problems and succeed.
