I have worked with students from Kindergarden to 5th grade in reading comprehension. When I was 5 years old I learned sign Language, I had a classmate who was deaf and I fell in love with the language. I went to the University of Nebrasaka-Lincoln majored in Speech Pathology and took a few sign language classes. I started interpreting in 2009 in a small town in Kimball Nebraska. I try to work with students to find connections between different aspects of the material that we're working on as well as to find connections to other subjects. I find that by relating specific topics to broader perspectives on a subject as well as related subjects, the student can gain a greater appreciation for the coherence and importance of a particular subject area.
