I am an upcoming freshman at East Georgia State College. During high school, I took all Advanced Placement classes and was rewarded the highest 4-year average in Mathematics, Science, and Literature. Also, I was a dual-enrolled student at EGSC during my high school career, completing advanced level courses in Literature and Mathematics. I scored a 1200 composite in math and reading on the SAT, earning the Zell Miller college tuition scholarship. Additionally, I tutored underclassman in all four core-subjects and for the SAT.

When it comes to my teaching style, I prefer to meet a student and take the first meetings to really get to know them, their learning styles and find out what goals we need to realistically set. After I have a goal in place I then like to work backwards and fill in the blanks of how we are going to achieve our goals. I have been known for my patience and creativity with my students. A Little Bit About Me...

As a child growing up, I always knew I wanted to be in a position to help others particularly young children achieved their goals to become productive educated citizens. I worked hard and earned my bachelor degree in Early Childhood Education and have 18 years of experience teaching in the public school system. Over a course of years, I have tutored students privately and once was employed with the Sylvan Learning Center here in Dublin. I have also worked with mentally challenged adults to achieved more independence and obtained the different services they are entitled to in order to survived adequately. I have worked in the Education field for 9 years. I started off as a substitute teacher and later became a "permanent substitute" in 2002. In this same year, I also became a class monitor for Psycho-Edu with the Johnson Co. School System. These jobs both required me to help teach elementary students in every subject.
My goal as a teacher is to help children appreciate learning and have fun while doing. I beleive that we all learn in different ways and a person should use a learning strategy that works best for them. I am available to help your child succeed academically. As a student in high school, I became fascinated with Chemistry and went on to earn a BS in Chemistry. The position I landed after school dealt with additives in rubber and plastics, so eventually I went on to earn a MS degree in Polymer Science. This helped me to land a better position.
