My teaching style varies depending on the student. Once I meet with the student and assess how he/she learns best, I tailor my teaching style to best meet his/her needs. Each student learns differently, and as a private tutor, I am able to meet his/her specific needs. I am a certified teacher in the state of Texas and have taught a variety of elementary grades over the past six years. Prior to this, I was a tutor for elementary students for five years. Teaching is a passion of mine, as I strive to bring learning to life. If a student is bored and loves sports, after reading I love to go outside and play basketball with them while asking them questions about what we've just learned. Incorporating their interests in learning the subjects is important to me. I have experience tutoring students at an elementary and middle school level in reading, Spanish and science and math.
