As cliché as this sounds - my favorite part of teaching is the satisfaction of knowing I made a difference. I have interacted with individuals across countless backgrounds and understand the idea of each student needing to hear things in their own terms. I will graduate from the College of Saint John’s University this spring with a major in English Education. Classes I have taken at CSB/SJU include extensive English and Education courses and a continuation of Spanish education. I worked as a paid English tutor during my 4-year college career through Upward Bound Tutoring program. I fell in love with helping middle school and high school aged youth in a small group and one on one setting. I find my favorite moments of education to be in a one-on-one or small group setting. I have extensive experience in teach chemistry to students. In the past while at the University of Wyoming I had extensive one on one tutoring sessions with both college students and HS students (AP students). I have also tutored in math, and physics in the past also.
First, I love helping people learn. I strive to show students and people that chemistry, math and science is all about a thought process and is something that everyone can learn.
