I have earned BS in Chemistry in Middle East Technical University in Turkey.I have tutored students in chemistry, mathematics and sciences many years in Turkey.I got Green Card this year and moved to Eugene.I am working for Early Education Program as Substitute Teacher since October.I have social volunteer experiences for teaching kids in many countries as Ecuador,Columbia.

A Little Bit About Me...

As a Graduate Teaching Fellow (GTF) in the Philosophy Department at the University of Oregon, I assist faculty by running two weekly 50-min discussion sections of approximately 30 students, and I am responsible for evaluating these sixty students' work for the class, particularly written work, and exams. This year I have acted as a GTF in the following courses: Phil 110 (Human Nature), Phil 102 (Ethics), and PHil 170 (Philosophy of Love and Sex). As a Writing Associate at Swarthmore College (2002-2005), I was hired and trained by Swarthmore College to tutor Swarthmore students in academic writing. I have been an educator for over 10 years. Even as an undergrad, I was interested in working with children and spent my summers employed with the YMCA's youth programs. My experience is working with at-risk youth from kindergarten to high school seniors. My Master's degree in education combines coursework in special education and talented and gifted. I have tutored and taught students in all subjects both core curriculum and electives. My certification covers Kindergarten through Ninth grade.

I strongly believe that education is a life-long learning experience, that children are able to learn from each other, that a teacher can facilitate the learning process and that students and teachers are able to learn from each other. I endorse the theory that all children can learn, but also recognize that they are unique individuals, who may process learning in different ways. It is, therefore, important to use the teaching method/techniques/strategies that best work with each students.
